New service: Specialist care for men’s* health and wellbeing
Have you been struggling with feeling more anxious, depressed or annoyed? Sleeping worse, gaining weight, losing hair or sex drive? You could be dealing with low testosterone. On average, men lose 1% of their testosterone yearly from age 30 onwards. The good news is, you don’t have to just put up with it.
Well Man is a new dedicated men’s health service that helps men stay on top of changing testosterone levels during midlife. In partnership with Vitae, Well Man offers 4 personalised testosterone assessment and treatment sessions – available within organisations that have added Well Man to their service contract.
*We would like to acknowledge that although we use the term ‘men’ within our service description, individuals who identify as being other genders or gender-neutral may also experience lowered testosterone levels and can benefit from our support.
Treatments include
- One to one consultations
- Testosterone blood tests
- Lifestyle review
- Testosterone Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Specialist testosterone cardiovascular, bone and cognitive health lifestyle review and treatment
- Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
- Weight loss management
- Sleep treatment
- Low mood treatment
- Sexual health.
All treatments are designed to support men’s health and wellbeing.
Accessing the new service
The Well Man service must be added to your organisation’s contract before anyone in your team may book an appointment. Please request this from your manager, who can then arrange this through your Vitae Customer Relationship Manager (CRM).
Well Man clinicians
Clinicians for the Well Man service are multi-disciplinary and work based on a man’s personal needs and guidelines from the British Society for Sexual Medicine (BSSM).
They also understand that men often put their own health on the back burner or push through symptoms without talking about them. That’s why our Well Man approach is straight-talking and judgement-free.
The team works one-on-one with men to understand what’s really going on physically and mentally, through personalised assessments and evidence-based treatment plans. The focus is on helping men improve energy, focus, motivation, mood and more so they can feel at their best.
